Abstract
In digital control systems, the sampling time which is an important parameter for consideration is approximately arrived at. In arriving at that, an approximation is made regarding the access time of transducers. Eventhough theoretical equations are available to approximately estimate the time response specification of such transducers, they suffer due to the exactness of the constants involved. Further, the environment to which the transducer is exposed is going to change the nature of time response. This paper presents the results of an experiment conducted using a PC to estimate the response of a thermocouple to same temperature under different conditions.
