Automatic Checkout System Design of an Aircraft Subsystem

Abstract

This paper presents the design and development of a simple automated checkout system to give a basic GO/NOGO testing of the I/O lines of the digital flight control computer of a fly-by-wire aircraft system.

Arundhati Bhattacharyya, (Life Member IETE) is a post graduate in Physics with Electronics as a specialized subject, from the Central University of Hyderabad. Thereafter, she has completed a post-graduate engineering degree in ‘Software Systems’ from Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani.

She joined the DRDO (Defence Research and Development Organisation) in the year 1987 after completion of one year's ‘Electronics Fellowship Course’ at Institute of Armament Technology (IAT) Pune (DRDO). She is currently working as a scientist in Aeronautical Development Establishment (ADE) under the DRDO at Bangalore in the field of Avionics. She is involved in the field of Information Technology; in the design of systems that are both hardware and software intensive. Her interests lie in the design of Information Systems and Software Engineering.
