Abstract
The article reports on the negative impact which the Central Council for Education and Training in Social Work's new funding arrangements for placements has had on the Ruskin Diploma in Social Work Programme and highlights how programmes that make extensive use of voluntary sector placements are disadvantaged by the funding formula.
