Students' Misconceptions about Conservation Principles and Fields

Pages 127-137 | Published online: 03 Aug 2006

Abstract

This study investigates secondary school students' misconceptions in conservation principles and fields. The responses of the students to the tasks studied indicate that formed misconceptions seem to persist with years of teaching and learning. In addition, teachers appear not to be fully aware of students' misconceptions and hence could not correctly predict them in a test.
