For most of us 2020 was a year of remote working, disrupted research projects and online meetings/conferences. While online meetings have many challenges, never has staying in touch with each other been more important. Hearing different research perspectives and learning from each other remains a priority. So we start the year with a Society of Reproductive and Infant Psychology (SRIP) workshop report on fear of childbirth. This is just one example of the workshops that are funded by SRIP to bring together researchers in the field to explore our current knowledge base, gaps in the literature and possible ways forward in research and practice. While events have until recently been held in person, these workshops can now be held on one of the many online platforms available to us. We just need to be a bit more creative in our networking!
The Society wishes to support activities that foster multidisciplinary research, research impact, knowledge mobilisation, and professional practice. We offer funding for workshops or other events that further this goal. Events could include, but are not limited to:
A workshop to bring research collaborators together to develop a grant proposal.
A one-off event to disseminate research in a specific area.
An event to deliver or plan research impact with non-academic stakeholders.
A research-led training event to support evidence-based practice.
