Some inter-relationships between personality variables, obstetric outcome and perinatal mood

Abstract

Primigravidae completed a personality inventory and visual analogue mood sclaes during pregnancy and after delivery. Obstetric outcome was assessed according to stated criteria. A number of significant relationships were found between personality and perinatal mood and obstetric outcome. There was no relationship between obstetric outcome and perinatal mood.
