Miscarriage: Women's views of care

Abstract

This paper reports on a qualitative study which was conducted over a period of 6 months widi women who had suffered a first trimester miscarriage. The study indicates that the women were critical of some aspects of the care they had received. The women attributed poor quality of care to a lack of appreciation amongst health professionals of the personal significance of an early pregnancy loss.
