The hidden flower: A psychiatric trainee's experience with assessing a child for psychotherapy

Pages 185-190 | Published online: 22 Feb 2011

SUMMARY

This paper is the description of a brief assessment for child psychotherapy which I undertook as psychiatric registrar placed in child psychiatry. It was my first experience in child psychotherapy after I had already started seeing adult patients. The experience of hidden messages in playing and acting made me understand a crucial part of this child's emotional life.
