Abstract
This paper describes common sexually transmitted diseases, including HIV infection, in men. It reviews the presentation and treatment of sexually transmitted infections in the UK and other developed countries. The physical and psychological consequences of sexually transmitted diseases and measures to prevent and control infection are also outlined.
