Abstract

The first example of a liquid-crystalline tetraacylated cyclam (1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane) derivative is described. Its mesomorphic behaviour, presumably discotic, is characterized by means of polarizing microscopy and D.S.C. measurements.
