Bernard Lisewski, Principal Lecturer at the Liverpool Business School (LBS) at Liverpool John Moores University, (LJHU) analyses in this article an Open Learning Pilot Project (OLPP) with first year undergraduates. Lisewski examines the rationale of the project in the fast‐changing environment of Higher Education in the UK., and reviews both student and staff reaction to the change from the conventional lecture based mode of delivery.
