Abstract

Chaos theory has proved to he of interest in a surprisingly wide range of disciplines. Sofar most progress has been made in the quantitative and experimental sciences where the emphasis away from a linear world has had far-reaching consequences. Chaos at least releases aU the sciences from the expectation of universal exactness and of steady state equilibrium.
