Abstract
Four species of the genus Centroporus Pantocsek are described and illustrated, Centroporus crassus Pantocsek (the generitype), C. californicus Long, Fuge & Smith, a new species C. uralensis P. A. Sims and the sole species of the genus Tschestnovia Pantocsek, T. mirabilis, is transferred to Centroporus as C. mirabilis (Pant.) P. A. Sims. Centroporus is a member of the Heliopeltaceae and all these species are very rare, either in the upper Cretaceous and Paloeocene deposits of Russia or the upper Cretaceous (Maastrichtian) of California, U.S.A.
