1. In the Ansoff matrix, combinations of old/new products and old/new markets result in four types of products, with accompanying strategies.

2. The GE/McKinsey matrix is comparable to the Growth-Share matrix, but making it operational requires far more complex collecting and processing of data, both in business as in the adapted tool introduced here.

Frank Le Clercq

In memoriam Frank le Clercq, 1945 – 2006. Sadly, author Frank le Clercq has passed away. As a professor at the University of Amsterdam he has been of great importance of the research of transport and planning. He was also the main inspirer of the research reported in this article.
