Planning in the ‘Blue Belt’

Notes

The phrase ‘the blue belt’ — to describe the planning of sea or water areas that should be protected — was coined by a Scottish Office official and used by Murray Ritchie the environment and local government correspondent of the Glasgow Herald in a major article which opposed the development of the marina.
