ABSTRACT
Tachylagus gawneae, a new lagomorph from the Lac Pelletier Lower Fauna, is smaller with lower-crowned and more primitive teeth than members of the genus Megalagus, to which it is probably ancestral. Tachylagus may share a common ancestry with Procaprolagus. Relationships with the Mytonolagus-Palaeolagus lineage and with Eocene lagomorphs of Asia are unclear.
