ABSTRACT

A novel high-selectivity filtering power divider is presented in this paper. The proposed circuit utilizes two fourth-order filters with a surface mount resistor. The fourth-order filter is realized by quarter-wavelength and half-wavelength resonators. And by controlling the electric and magnetic coupling, two transmission zeros can be realized at the two sides and the passband. Furthermore, the source-load coupling is also adopted. Thus, four transmission zeros are realized, which ensure high selectivity and suppression level for the filtering power divider. To verify the proposed idea, a filtering power divider with operating frequencies of 2.45 GHz is implemented. The design procedures are discussed in detail, and the simulated and measured results are presented.
