Abstract

The goal of the InfoAble Portal project was to improve access to disability-related health information and the Center for Disability Resources Library's services for Family Connection (FC) of South Carolina, a support network for parents of children with special needs. The InfoAble Portal combines information from MedlinePlus, ClinicalTrials.gov, PubMed, and the Center for Disability Resources Library. The Disability Dashboards feature contains deep links within all of these resources to drill down to topic-specific content; topics for the dashboards were based on FC support groups. Workstations purchased with project funds are being used at FC to access the portal.
