Chemical decontamination of aniline by redox sensitive mineral surfaces part I: Kinetic AspectsFootnote

Abstract

Kinetic aspects of the degradation of aniline into various products has been investigated in aqueous suspensions of goethite in 0.001 M NaNO3 over a range of laboratory conditions. A ligand promoted dissolution model was used to define the fate of aniline in a mineral surface mediated reaction system. At a given [H+] concentration the reaction rate was found to be dependent on both aniline and goethite concentrations.
