Abstract

Aerosol techniques have attained an important position in the hierarchy of chemical processes. This paper discusses research needs in the area of aerosol processing from an industrial perspective. Topics addressed include the significance of nucleation, kinetics of particle growth, production of unique multicomponent particles, in situ processing, reactor design, and process control. Additional research is required to understand these important areas.
