ABSTRACT

Deposition of polydisperse aerosols by Brownian diffusion was studied using an approximation method of boundary layer analysis combined with integration of lognormal function moments. Analytic solutions to particle deposition by Brownian diffusion were given both for the rectangular channel and the circular tube configurations. The results of the analysis were compared with and proven to agree reasonably well with the existing numerical studies.
