Innovative Practice of Indirect Service Delivery: Realities and Idealities

Abstract

This article examines the realities of indirect service delivery as well as considering indirect services that might ideally be provided. Obstacles to moving into a more indirect service oriented model of service delivery, including system-level factors, personal factors, and training factors, are discussed. Suggestions are provided for how these obstacles might most effectively be overcome.
