Pages 290-305 | Published online: 23 Dec 2019

Abstract

Intervention research should be evaluated based on treatment effectiveness, treatment integrity, social validity, and treatment acceptability. Research designs used in intervention research are examined in terms of these criteria. Examples of effective and non-effective intervention strategies for modifying academic and social/emotional behavior are discussed. Conclusions and issues for future research are identified.
