Ruth Mock

Ruth Mock, formerly an Art Adviser in the West Riding of Yorkshire, has written several books on the teaching of Art and is a frequent visitor to schools. This review article considers Art teaching by examining the potential contribution of the ever-popular magazine Art and Craft in Education. Ruth Mock provides no consolation for those who like the magazine to provide them with an idea a week. However, she outlines how she feels Art should be approached and suggests what the magazine can and cannot do.
