Eriophyoid mites associated with New Zealand ferns

Abstract

A new genus and seven new species of eriophyoid mites are described from New Zealand ferns. They are Cymeda zealandica n. gen. et sp., Aculops beeveri, Litaculus acutusL. antapicus, L. gillianae, L. pennigerus and L. squarrosus. A key is provided to the described species of Litaculus.
