Abstract
The Clambid fauna of New Zealand is revised. Seven new species are described: Sphaerothorax zealandicus, S. kuscheli, S. brevisternalis, Clambus pluto, C. neptunus, C. saturnus, C. venus, and C. uranus. Three new subspecies are described: Clambus saturnus annulus, C. bulla elongatus, and C. bulla marmoratus. Thus, the clambid fauna of New Zealand consists now of 2 genera, 11 species, and 3 further subspecies. Two of these species, Sphaerothorax tierensis and Clambus domesticus, are shared with Australia.
