Selenium and beef cow fertility

Abstract

Injecting or dosing beef cows with 25 to 30 mg selenium 0 to 14 days before mating failed to reduce barrenness. The trials were conducted on 7 properties in North Otago with a total of 1434 cows over 2 years.
