Abstract
Several external and internal factors contribute to the fact that farn in the semi-arid Petrusburgdistrict concentrate on crop and livestock enterprises that, in most cases, are managed sub-optimally. These factors contributed to the structural problems experienced by farmers in the Petrusburg district. From the evaluation of results, it appears that if several structural adjustments are made in combination, it could be economically viable. Individual structural adjustments that are economically viable, are not financially feasible if capital replacement of movable assets are taken into consideration. With a combination of the proposed structural adjustments, it seems that almost all adjustments will be financially feasible.
