Abstract

The months of birth of six subgroups of 4,099 clients who had been referred to a mental handicap assessment and advisory service were analysed. For one IQ subgroup, those whose IQs were between 70 and 84, the distribution of months of birth differed significantly from random (p < 0.01), peaking in May–July.
