Abstract
The Bem Sex Role Inventory and the short-form Revised Eysenck Personality Questionnaire were completed by a sample of 575 adult participants engaged in personality and spirituality workshops in order to locate the constructs of masculinity and femininity within Eysenck’s dimensional model of personality. The data indicated, in accordance with theoretical prediction, that masculinity and femininity emerged as orthogonal constructs, that extraversion emerged as the clearest correlate of masculinity, and that tendermindedness (low psychoticism) emerged as the clearest correlate of femininity.
