Abstract

“The accreditation I want my therapist to have is one she gives herself. You develop your own criteria, have them negotiated with peers the IDHP way and then through self and peer assessment against the criteria come to agreement (again the IDHP way) about what you are good at, reliable with, where your blank spots and weaknesses are and what you could do to improve. And the peers you do this with are people who have you as their accreditors. The only outsider would be a moderator who takes part in order to see that the procedure is not avoided and that collusion does not take place.”
