1 Thankfully this has begun to unravel with the recent rise of prominent anti-BJP Dalit political leaders in Gujarat – a trend underlined by the results of the 2017 state election. The BJP remained in office, but its grip on power had been eroded along with its ability to weave hegemony through discourse.
