Abstract
The concentrations of main components of two series of snow samples collected in the area of Terra Nova Bay have been determined. From statistical analysis of the obtained values, Na, Cl and Mg result from marine contribution, whereas a constant excess of K and of Ca is added to the sea spray content of snow. A further source of sulfates, besides the ones produced in DMS oxidation, is evidenced in the nssSO4 contribution. A good correlation among nssSO4, MSA and NO3 or nssCa is also observed.
