ABSTRACT

A comparison of the teaching of chemistry in French ‘Grandes Ecoles˚s and British universities is presented from the point of view of: entry requirements, course structure and content, teaching methods, assessment and industrial activities. A comparison of qualifications is presented together with data on subjects taught at a selection of institutions.
