Costing, scheduling and demand

Abstract

The broad aim of the workshop was to review the approaches available for costing of, scheduling of and identifying the demand for bus and coach services. This workshop was of a technical nature and considered the recent advances in methods for identifying such important items as unit costs of service provision overall, for specific services/routes, time of day; for developing scheduling systems for various size operations; and for measuring the demand for bus and coach services. The workshop established a list of priorities for further research in the areas of costing. scheduling and demand assessment.
