Abstract
An introduction to the significance and the difficulties of overall optimization considering technological, economical, social and environmental criteria of design problems for engineering products and projects is given. The necessity and possibility of introducing the overall reconstruction optimum design method, in theory and practice, using the reconstruction analysis (RA) system model, which has logical relations with these problems, is given. The RA and multi-objective optimization methods, including the description of the phases of implementation of the computation program, are also given. Then these methods are used to solve the actual overall design optimization problem.
