The binet-cauchy theorem and inequalities for the schur power matrix

Abstract

The Schur power matrix of an n×n matrix A is the n!×n matrix π(A) whose entries are where σ and τ run lexicographically over S_n . We prove a Binet-Cauchy theorem for π(A) and derive several resulting inequalities.
