Abstract

2. [PD(PC2P)2] 7 entsteht elektroreduktiv nach Verfahren: (a) aus [Pd(PC2P)2Cl2] 8, nach Verfahren 9 (b) aus [Pd(PC2P)Cl2] 9 und PC2P und nach; (c) aus K2PdCl4 + 2PC2P.

3. [Co(PC2P)2) 11 erhält man bei der Elektroreduktion sowohl von [Co(PC2P)2Cl2] 10 als auch durch Direktsynthese ausgehend von CoCl2 + 2 PC2P nach (11).

4. [Rh(PPh3)4] 12 ist zugänglich durch Elektroreduktion: (a) von [Rh(PPh3)3Cl] in Gegenwart von PPh3 und (b) von RhCl3·3H2O + 4PPh3.

5. Die analog angestrebte Darstellung von Cu(O)-, Zn(O) und Fe(O)-Phosphinkomplexen gelingt nicht.

1. The Ni(O)-complex [Ni(PC2P)2] 1, containing two ethylene-1,2-bis(diphenylphosphine) ligands (PC2P), is obtained on electroreduction of: (a) Ni(PC2P)2Br2;(b)[Ni(PC2P)Br2] + PC2P or (c) NiBr2 · 3H2O + 2PC2P. Yields are greater than 90%.

In process (b), complexes with two differing ligands are obtained on using PPh3, PC3P or AsPh3 in place of PC2P. Examples are [Ni(PC2P)(PPh3)2] 4. [Ni(PC2P)(PC3P)] 5 and [Ni(PC2P)(AsPh3)2]. (PC3P = Trimethylene-1,3-bis-(diphenylphosphine). Tetrakis(triphenylphosphine)Nickel(O), [Ni(PPh3)4] 6, was obtained in 77% yield from the direct process in analogy to (c) above.

2. [Pd(PC2P)2] 7 was obtained from [Pd(PC2P)2Cl2] 8 on electroreduction using process (a) from [Pd(PC2P)Cl2] 9 and PC2P using (b) and from K2PdCl4 + 2P2P using process (c).

3. [Co(PC2P)2] 11, was obtained on electroreduction of [Co(PC2P)2Cl2] 10 as well as via the direct synthesis using CoCl2 + 2PC2P described in Ref. 11.

4. [Rh(PPh3)4] 12 was obtained on electroreduction of (a) [Rh(PPh3)3Cl] in the presence of PPh3; or (b) RhCl3 · 3H2O + 4PPh3.

5. Despite much effort, the analogous Cu(O), Zn(O) and Fe(O) phosphine complexes could not be prepared in a corresponding manner.
