Abstract
Perfluoromethyldiphosphene complexes are ultimately formed from the reactions of (CF3P)4,5 with low valent Pt group metals. Evidence for oxidative addition to Pt(O) and Pd(O) to form intermediate complexes is found. The heterocyclic ligand oxidatively adds to Pt(O) to form a metallocycle. The five membered ring
coordinates to Pt(O) via the olefinic group.
