Derivatives of Poly (alkyl/arylphosphazenes)

Abstract

High molecular weight polyphosphazenes [Ph(Me)P=N]_x[Ph(CH₂Z)P=N]_y and their phosphoranimine precursors Me₃SiN=P(OCH₂CF₃) (CH₂Z)Me [Z = RMe₂Si (R = H, Me, CH=CH₂, (CH₂)₃CN), R₂P (R = Ph, Me₂N), COOH, RR'COH (R,R′ = H, Me, Ph, ferrocenyl), Me, CH₂CH=CH₂, and CH₂Ph have been prepared by sequential treatment of [Ph(Me)P=N]_n or Me₃SiN=P(OCH₂CF₃)Me₂ with n-BuLi and appropriate electrophiles.
