Abstract
‘Let us recall that Islam also veils the faces of women, that the black-eyed women (l'houris) cannot be seen down there (ici-bas) in the mystical paradise ... that is, in an hallucination of visible and invisible. Thus, in this hierarchy of the visible and the invisible, woman is situated between God and man; visibly invisible, she is the abyss of the theological order.’1 - Abdelkebir Khatibi
