Italian Cultural Landscape of The Modern Period

Paradigms of recent Italian photography

From seeing to seen

Pages 191-195 | Published online: 19 Jan 2015

Abstract

De-composed photographs, radical angles, selective focus, decisive shutter speeds: after two decades of studying the landscape with the slow and precise instruments of a topography committed to scepticism, over the past few years Italian photography seems to have changed its mode of representing the classical iconography of a landscape which is now dense and stratified, and in the process of transformation.
