Are There Limits to the Demand for Social Workers?

Abstract

From current literature one might be led to believe that Australia could employ any given number of social workers, if only they could be produced by existing or future schools of social work. The following discussion presents an attempt at assessing the situation; whilst the figures may be arguable, it is hoped that they may stimulate interest in the production of more accurate data.
