Abstract
In the Introduction to “Social System Perspectives in Residential Treatment” it is said: “It is no longer assumed that therapy is the special province for a professional psychotherapist treating a single resident. All the inhabitants of the community contribute to an emergent social system that decisively influences the rehabilitative outcomes of the resident.”1
