The Establishing of a Multi-cultural Community Health Centre

Pages 32-34 | Published online: 15 Apr 2008

Abstract

Multicultural health programmes aim to achieve a great deal. Making space to accommodate different cultural values and, at the same time, meet a variety of health care needs is no easy task.

The establishing of a community health centre in an outer suburban area of Adelaide with a large Italian population offered opportunities to experiment with innovative health programmes which validated cultural values.
