Richard Hauser (1911–1990) A Tribute

Pages 40-42 | Published online: 15 Apr 2008

Abstract

The origins of prevailing professional wisdom and current practice make interesting study. This is especially so where they can be traced to innovators rejected or ignored by their more orthodox contemporaries. The professionalising of social intervention has too often resulted in overlooking those who contributed substantially from outside the recognised disciplines, or who fail to conform to ideological stereotype.

The following tribute to Richard Hauser (1911–1990) may well illustrate this.
