Peace and Social Justice as an Integral Part of the Social Work Curriculum: A North American Perspective

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to present a framework for incorporating peace and social justice into the social work curriculum by delineating the major concepts and themes of peace education, providing a rationale for a peace curriculum effort, and presenting a curriculum approach currently being developed for schools of social work in the United States.
