Abstract

This paper provides an overview of decision support systems, emphasizing the use of models as aids to the decision-making process, particularly in light of microcomputer technology and software. However, since models typically are used for decision making in each organizational unit's local domain, the authors propose the need for a method of model integration to obtain more global considerations of optitnization. Several approaches to model integration are presented along with an actual module used in the integrative process.
