Abstract

Ultrastructural aspects of Ligniera verrucosa Maire et Tison parasiting Marsilea minuta L. are described. Ingestion of the host cytoplasm by invaginations of plasmodial surfaces and formation of zoospore and cystospores is demonstrated. Resting spores are verrucate. The spores are enclosed in sporangial lobes.
