Abstract

Buckwheat (Fagopyrum esculentum) is regional widely grown in Asia, eastern Europe as well as in northern and southern America. Investigations on the susceptibility of 5 cultivars frequently grown in Russia and Whiterussia to 8 plant pathogenic viruses of different taxonomic groups resulted in a mild affect of 4 cultivars by cucumber mosaic cucumovirus and of one cultivars by tomato spotted wilt tospovirus.
